College may seem like it’s all about studying and finals, but luckily it’s not. Your college experience can be really fun, especially if you are involved on campus. I think it is really fun when one of the organizations I am involved in decide to throw a banquet. It gives me the perfect excuse to pick out a pretty dress and get dolled up for a night.
I love how this Fashionista put together her school banquet look. Color blocking has made a comeback this summer, and she really is using the trend to her advantage. The orange and pink go really well together and show off her summer tan.
The dress is simple and doesn’t have many details to it, but the statement necklace gives it a fancier look. It is bright and bold and is the main item of this ensemble. The pink, quilted Chanel purse is the right size to fit in a cell phone and a lipgloss for touchups. It is simple and complements the pink color on the dress.
Lastly, the Tory Burch flats are adorable! In a school function like a banquet it really isn’t necessary to show up in six inch heels because after 30 minutes, you’re going to be dying of pain. It’s better to go for the chic yet comfortable option, and plus you never know if your friends might want to catch a movie afterwards.
One Simple Change: To transform this look into something appropriate for an internship, simply add on a well tailored blazer. You will be looking professional enough for an office but without losing all the color.
