It’s always the days we are least expecting it that Mother Nature decides to downpour. In the middle of New York City, most people would expect it to snow, but the weather turned on us and rained instead. This Fashionista was luckily ready to take on the day by staying warm and covered.
As the snow melts, this Fashionista’s hair stays pin straight. Braving the windy streets she chose a plaid shirt, knit sweater, down vest and boxy jacket. The more layers the better! I couldn’t help but notice how well this Fashionista knew how to layer up and it seemed to come so natural to her.
Instead of jumping under building to building or taking the crowded subway like many of us to stay dry, this Fashionista sports the latest rainy day accessory, a clear umbrella. The pop of color around the rim is what really drew my attention to her. Also shying away from typical suede boots to keep warm, Hunter boots were the best practical yet stylish option. The rubber material is easy to clean and durable. It’s also highly less risky than possibly ruining your favorite pair of shoes! C’mon you know you would hate for your favorite Steve Madden’s to get scuffed.
One Simple Change: Put the vest back in your closet and get to your nearest Starbucks with some friends. For a study group after class you want to stay warm and comfortable to study and get that A+ you deserve!
