Here in Indianapolis we are experiencing the last few rainy days before the snow comes down. As dull as these skies may seem, rain will force many Fashionistas to make changes in their outfits for the day. When the day is gloomy and full of rain, most girls will reach in their closet and pull out their rain boots and rain jackets.
I ran across this Fashionista and noticed she was not wearing the normal rainy day outfit. Since the rain was light, she opted to wear cute gray sneakers instead of rain boots. Cuffed skinny jeans really made her sneakers stand out. She added a pop of color on top with a bright yellow V-neck and green jacket. The jacket is a great alternative to the traditional raincoat because it fits well and provides warmth from the double layer.
My favorite part of this outfit is the statement necklace. This Fashionista shows that it does not have to be summer to wear bright and fun accessories. The necklaces that only seem appropriate for warmer months of the year can be mixed into winter outfits by pairing them with brighter items of clothing.
Take a note from this Fashionista when there’s just a light drizzle outside. Instead of putting on bulky rain boots, throw on a pair of your cutest sneakers.
One Simple Change: To make this look date night appropriate, change the sneakers for a pair of cute and glittery flats.
