Like I have said in many other posts before, the weather in Michigan is strange. Literally lots of snowflakes fell from the sky here, covering the ground. It was too cold to not bundle up in a hat, scarf and mittens. Before I could even wear those accessories for a few days, I was back to just wearing a sweater and a vest. It has been quite rainy lately. With rain, you have to dress accordingly. This Fashionista has all the right tools to go with this dreary weather. When it is rainy, your goal should be to look comfortable. Your wardrobe should be like this Fashionista filled with cardigans, plaid and jeans.
I love how the plaid shirt is styled with the cardigan. Usually, you only see the cuffs of a button-down when paired with a sweater. I am digging that I can see part of the sleeve. The slight coloring within the plaid really pops from all the neutrals this outfit is sporting. The headband and the scarf add some extra spice to this outfit.
What I am obsessing over in this outfit are her L.L.Bean boots. They are perfect for rain because of the soles. Not only are these shoes perfect for rain, but they perfect for snow. These tan and navy L.L.Bean boots go with practically any outfit. L.L.Bean boots are simply good shoes to own for any occasion. Your feet will look and feel warm while wearing them. Rainy weather does not mean you have to grab your yoga pants and a long sleeve T-shirt. It means grab your comfy plaid shirt, sweater and jeans, and you will be all set for the day!
One Simple Change: Swap out the bean boots and throw on some riding boots, and you will be ready to hang out with friends for lunch or coffee without rain pouring down on you.
