WHAT TO WEAR: Presentation

What to Wear

Dressing up for a presentation gives you those few extra brownie points you need for your grade (and the professor’s liking). If you are a public relations major or a business major, you are in for a lot of presentations throughout your college career. Here at the University of Tennessee, where business majors are as abundant as the hills we call our campus, it is important to know how to dress for a presentation yet still look like a college kid.

This Fashionisto figured out a small cheat to the ‘look nice for the presentation’ system: comfort. Instead of wearing an uncomfortable pair of dress shoes to walk around in, he opted for a classic shoe, the Converse sneaker. The bow tie and button-down combination exudes confidence, but the jeans and Converse look evens out the outfit for just the right amount of comfort and school wear casual.

Colors are wonderful, especially in small doses. Pops of color can spruce up any outfit for just the right amount of flair. When one small colored accessory is worn over a few classic pieces, such as the navy button-down shirt this Fashionisto is wearing, it has the ability to pull the whole outfit together into a polished, creative look.

One Small Change: When night falls and the weather drops, add a vest or a cardigan (such as these from H&M) for a look to take out on the town. You will instantly transform yourself from day to night and look as stylish as ever.
