WHAT TO WEAR: Presentation

May 16th, 2015 at 2:00am

On the campus of my university, you can’t always figure out where people draw style inspiration from. It makes me wonder, “Are they researching fashion blogs for trends?” or “Are they just making it work with what they have in their own wardrobe?” I think it’s easy to assume people spend a lot time getting dressed for class every day, but that’s not always the truth. Pulling together a cute and trendy outfit doesn’t have to be your day’s biggest dilemma. It’s also that infamous time of the year—finals! If you’re lucky, your professor might not give an official exam. You may be able to complete a project and present it.

This Fashionisto serves up a couple of great fashion trends on a platter for his presentation. If you want an A, you have to also dress to impress. Everything layers perfectly in this look. This look has the perfect color scheme. Red, blue and browns are mostly seen in fall fashions, but this Fashionisto wears it well in spring. This Fashionisto could’ve kept it casual with just his red Ralph Lauren button-down and his flat-front khakis. The tie and blazer add great professional flair.

Can we get a serving of accessories, please? His watch, belt and shoes are what helps set everything together. They don’t stand out too much, but they make their presence known. Now, my favorite part is his belt. I don’t think this Fashionisto even realized how it made such a huge statement. Its dark chocolate and Louis Vuitton pattern coordinates perfectly with his khakis. Shoes help fashion ensembles tremendously, and this Fashionisto put the icing on the cake with this these round toed oxfords. I can’t get enough of his look. One more serving, please?

One Simple Change: Have a casual lunch date? Remove the tie to tone down the look.
