WHAT TO WEAR: Presentation

What to Wear

The cold weather has definitely been a drought, but spring will be here! I cannot wait for the sunshine and warm weather. My favorite part of spring weather is spring cleaning. This will include cleaning my room, my closet and my body. Change of weather means a change of habits. Sometimes I like to set mini goals for each week or a new month. My goals for the beginning of spring include having a positive outlook, eat healthier, dress and “walk like I have three men walking behind me,” as Oscar de la Renta would say. These goals allow me to become a happier Sharee.

New weather means school is almost over, which means midterms, tests and presentations. Giving a presentation can be either fun or nervous. I look at presentation days as dress up days, great excuse to get all dolled up for school after wearing sweats and tee’s all week. This Fashionista looked springtime fine rocking the spring 2014 trend of pastel with her jeans. Miu Miu, 3.1 Phillip Lim and Versace have sent pastel palettes down the runway, and am sure it will be seen more with the verge of spring and summer coming. American Apparel has a great selection of pastel colored jeans that are high-waisted and comfortable. She kept the look casual with a simple black V-neck tee which she paired with a super cute printed scarf. Scarves are best accessory anyone can own. They are great for either dressing down or dressing up. This Fashionista finished off her look with a  denim jacket which is great for when it becomes either cold or hot throughout the day. She kept her accessories simple with of pearls, but check out her septum piercing, how cool is that? Her eyebrows were also on point.

This outfit is casual enough to walk around campus yet cut enough to nail that presentation. As Harry Winston would say, “People will stare. Make it worth their while.”

One Simple Change: For a fun night out with your friends, swap out the sneakers for a pair of platform sneakers. Very Spice Girls meets modern college girl.
