After months of studying and hard work, we finally get a break. Summer is officially here! It’s time to relax on the beach and catch up with our friends and family. My favorite part of coming home for the summer is seeing all of my friends that didn’t go to University of South Carolina. It’s a great time to see what they’ve been up to for the past year. When spending a day out with your friends—new or old—it is important to dress the part. Summer is supposed to be fun, so dress like you’re going to have a good time! Whether you’re going shopping or grabbing lunch downtown, your friends are sure to be impressed if you put a little effort into what you are wearing.
This Fashionista does a flawless job of putting together an outfit that is perfect for summer. Her watercolor floral top gives the ensemble a vintage feel. Lately, I have been obsessing over floral patterned clothing and accessories. This trend is a great staple in any Fashionista’s summer closet. Extremely versatile, a floral patterned item will brighten up any outfit.
She pairs her top with a high-waisted cotton skirt, which is light and won’t make her extremely hot when the temperatures peak at 90 degrees. Flattering and on trend, you can’t go wrong when wearing high-waisted bottoms.
Her accessories are my favorite part of this outfit. They are simple, yet they add personality to the ensemble. Her “wish” necklace, wrap watch, metallic bracelets and floral sunglasses all make the outfit personalized and interesting. This Fashionista is definitely ready for a summer day out with friends.
One Simple Change: Her Keds sneakers make this outfit perfect for a casual summer day. Swap the shoes for a pair of wedges and add a structured blazer to transform this outfit into something that is appropriate for an interview.
