Here at Florida State, Landis Green is known to be a hot spot for college students to hang out. It’s not uncommon to be walking through this area between classes and see students catching rays laying in their bikinis or splashing around in the water fountain to stay cool in the summer heat. Groups of friends are found hanging out in the shaded trees for a picnic, throwing footballs, strumming guitars or even relaxing on hammocks. And if none of this still doesn’t appeal to you then you just might be found jousting in the middle of Landis. Yes, you read that right, jousting. No matter what hobbies you have, Landis is definitely the place to hang out on campus.
I spotted this Fashionista sporting an edgy look for an on the quad ensemble. She wore a flowy, tribal print maxi with an edgy muscle tee on top. Something that really stood out to me about her outfit was how she added her own creative twist to a common look. With the low underarm cut of the muscle tee, it is common for this look to be worn with a bandeaux and a maxi skirt. However this innovative Fashionista used a strapless maxi dress beneath her top to create the illusion of wearing a maxi skirt and matching bandeaux. Not to mention this look is less revealing and perfect for daytime hanging out on campus.
To recreate this Fashionista’s look on the quad look, try out this strapless maxi dress by PacSun. To complete the look, throw over a band muscle tee from Urban Outfitters. There were so many different choices on their site, but I went with one of my favorites, Grateful Dead.
One Simple Change: This Fashionista could easily take away the band tee and head out to the beach with her strapless maxi dress. Throw on a neutral summer straw hat by J.Crew and she’s all set for that beach day that’s long overdue!
