Life is all about balance; you have to balance your social life with your academic schedule and your work life with personal time. As college students, we have so many things on our plates, but it is important to set aside time to relax and have fun. One of the main reasons I chose to attend University of Colorado at Boulder was because of the incredibly beautiful campus. I remember walking through campus and seeing groups of friends gathered on Farrand Field playing Frisbee, listening to music and unwinding after class. I loved the laid back atmosphere in the middle of the hectic academic demands. This Fashionista shows us how to balance the perfect outfit for balancing your life on the quad.
In the warmer months, the quad is always occupied with students and friends hanging out and enjoying the beautiful weather. This Fashionista shows us how to dress to impress while swaying in a hammock or trying your luck at slack lining. Keeping things simple and comfortable will allow you to go from tanning to playing football to the ultimate handstand contest.
This Fashionista relies on the classic combination of shorts and a tank top. Denim shorts are versatile when it comes to both style and practicality; they are the perfect choice for a casual day outside. Pairing them with a lace detailed top creates a western, laid back effortless style. Finish your look off with some flip flops and head out for an afternoon of fun on the lawn. The simplicity of the outfit makes it great for hanging out on the quad and allows you to be ready for anything. Keeping your life in balance is not the easiest task, we learn as we go and we continue to grow. It is important to set aside time for yourself to relax and just enjoy your surroundings, just don’t let your outfit throw off your equilibrium. Keep it simple and cute.
One Simple Change: Throw on a pair of combat boots and wrap a flannel shirt around your waist and you are ready to tailgate. Tailgating is another classic college ritual. Getting ready for the big game is often times more fun than the game itself. To get ready for a tailgate, be sure to layer. By tying a flannel shirt around your waist, you can be ready for a sudden shift in temperature. Paired with the combat boots, you create the perfect grunge-inspired ensemble. Grab a face tattoo, a foam finger and maybe a hot dog and you are ready to tailgate!
