There’s nothing cooler than someone who can take trends and effortlessly implement them into their personal style. In the case of this Fashionisto, he’s working multiple seasonal trends like hats, gold chains and mixing prints all with a certain je ne sais quoi of his own.
What stopped me in my tracks at one of the biggest open-spaced quad areas on campus was his bowler hat. This season, it’s common knowledge that all types of hats are in. Hats give you shade, especially on the qua, while really amping up your entire look. You could opt for a fedora, snapback or bucket hat if you are really feeling the swag. But there’s something amazing and old school about a bowler hat. Maybe it’s the whole Charlie Chaplin thing? And the great thing is ladies can rock the bowler too!
Anyways, in fashion it always pays off to try the unexpected. This Fashionisto did just that when he combined his masculine bowler hat with a funky leopard printed crewneck. Both the black hat and ultra tight denim worked to subdue the bold orange and blue hued print. Camo Vans with mustard laces added to the gutsy leopard print. To add even more flair to the look, this Fashionisto accessorized with a gold statement watch and single gold chain, which really looked great with his golden locks. Lesson here is don’t be afraid to mix prints or styles. This Fashionisto rocked a chain (gangster), Vans (skater) and bowler hat (classic) all at once. Bravo!
One Simple Change: To transform this look from casual cool on the quad to a swanky dinner out, add to the bowler hat’s classic vibe by trading in the comfy Vans for flashy oxfords.
