WHAT TO WEAR: On The Quad

What to Wear

This winter was probably the worst one we’ve had yet. With hints of spring weather here and there and then resulting back to freezing winter weather, it has been such a tease. But it is finally starting to lighten up with actual spring weather here in the Northeast! With warm weather come more people actually hanging out outside, spring clothes and floral prints. The quad at Drexel has a nice “hump” that we like to call it, where it had steps that people can hang out on and relax in the sun or the shade. Lots of people tend to come here to socialize and get their tan on. I spotted this Fashionista on the quad in this simple and comfortable outfit.

She is sporting a gray and navy blue stripped sweater dress from Gap accentuating her curves. Strips are very in this spring with it being the style of the season! They can be seen on shirts, short dresses and maxi dresses! It gives off a slight high-low feature, which elongates her legs. Her dress cuts off at the perfect length just at mid-thigh that once it gets warmer, it can even be worn without the tights and boots and would look great with a pair of flats. This Fashionista got the tights from Forever 21, which has a very unique black and red touch. The light dark purple colored scarf that she found while thrifting really makes the gray on her sweater dress pop. It has beautiful floral detailing on it that really draws attention to her neckline. It also has very subtle hints of red that can’t be seen unless you are up close. Find a similar scarf just like this Fashionista did while thrifting, but online!

Her dark brown DSW riding boots cutting off just below her knee gives off the illusion of longer legs. The buckles on the side are minimal details that go well with her small shoulder bag that she received as a gift from a friend. While hanging out on the quad, there are not many necessities to bring with you. A book, sunglasses and some sunscreen are some small essentials that you can bring. She has on a small shoulder bag that is the perfect size to carry those small goodies. It is a lighter brown which balances out her outfit, since most of it is darker colored.

One Simple Change: For a night out, switch out the boots and tights for a simple pair of open-toed wedges.
