The weather here in Georgia has been crazy lately. One minute it is raining, the next it is sunny. At my university we have had a total of four snow days in the last two months, yet we have not seen snow. This week we at least got a chance to ditch the trenches, the boots and the scarves because it has been in the 70s all week. I will be honest, I am not too excited about the hot days that we will soon endure. My winter wardrobe is my absolute favorite! Capes, trenches, tights with skirts; winter is my season! I will be so sad to let winter go, but I shall welcome spring with open arms…sort of.
I am always on the hunt to find the most stylish Fashionistas and Fashionistos on my campus. During my weekly campus scoping I saw this Fashionista on the quad. She was dressed in a really breezy look, perfect for the warm weather, listening to music on her way to class. She walked in front of me and I immediately noticed the Jump From Paper book bag she had on. I absolutely LOVE this brand. They have items that you would be sure to find on the streets of Tokyo. After spotting her backpack I definitely had to stop her and talk to her.
Not only is her bag awesome, but her whole look is pretty refreshing. This Fashionista is wearing a green and red floral print blouse that she got from a thrift store in her hometown. She mentioned that it used to be long sleeved but she decided to do her own DIY project one weekend and this nice sleeveless blouse was the result. She matches this with a pair of light colored, slightly distressed jeans that were purchased from American Eagle Outfitters. As you can see, the Fashionista is also wearing gray and white Converse and few accessories. I love this look, mainly because it is so unique, and by looking at this outfit you can get a glimpse into who she is as a person. This is one of the huge reasons why I love fashion! I just love seeing people express their personalities through clothing—it is always interesting to observe.
One Simple Change To go from a casual look to a business casual look. Switch out the jeans for a black pair of skinny ankle pants like these from Vince Camuto. Do away with the Converse, add a cute bootie or heel, top that off with a fitted blazer and you have the perfect look for a class Presentation. You will for sure get an A+ for style at least.
