While black, winter white and earth-tone neutrals are great colors for the upcoming winter season, I think it’s terrific when a Fashionista can incorporate lively colors into her wardrobe throughout all the seasons. This Fashionista certainly agrees with that ideology, as she does not shy away from mixing bright colors in her winter wear. This outfit is super versatile and can be worn for many occasions, though I found this chic Fashionista hanging out by the quad.
These green jeans can be worn all year round — they’re great with floral for spring and dark tops for the colder months. As a moss green, the color is a nice transition from fall to winter. It’s a bit lighter than a dark hunter green and not quite as loud as a mint. I thought it was fantastic that she paired it with a navy blue blouse from a thrift shop. The two colors work well together, as they are not too bright and contrast well. Tucking it in also creates straighter lines and emphasizes how the top flows. The sheer top and intricate lace stripe make the shirt light and flirty, but the back creates an edgy twist. I love how it buttons at the back of the neck and reveals a completely open back.
Her brown and black ankle boots are wonderfully trendy and seen all over London. Chelsea boots look great with jeans, leggings and dresses. The brown and black complement her outfit nicely, though single-toned boots would also work well. A black scarf keeps her warm and ties the color into the entire outfit. With all the bright colors in the look, she keeps her accessories simple and uncomplicated. Small finger rings are definitely in — the more, the merrier. These dainty accessories can be piled on and flatter an outfit, rather than overshadow it. My favorite is her silver knot ring that she made herself!
One Simple Change: Putting on a white blouse, an edgy necklace and a leather jacket would be a great way to transition this outfit for a night out with friends.
