WHAT TO WEAR: Off-Duty Weekends

When people think of Italian style, they usually envision the perfectly presented, fully done-up woman. Social media presents them more often with perfect makeup, perfectly coiffed hair, strutting in heels, regardless of the porous cobblestone streets. However, they know that sometimes the best style for certain activities is just simple, clean, comfortable, but of course still well put-together. Because spring has finally arrived, everyone is shedding their protective outer layers, but some mornings can still be a little chilly. When spending a day at the park, it’s definitely useful to layer on something that is light and can convert to a pillow for the mid-afternoon nap in the park. In nature, practicality is definitely key!

This Fashionista paired her favorite go-to plain white shirt with cute brown boots, the best activity pants (also known as leggings), and a subtle addition of a deep green knit scarf, which adds a nice hint of color. Her overall look was pretty simple, but it’s perfect for a spring day like this. While her outfit and her makeup are simple, she did her hair in gorgeous tousled waves. She mentioned that on weekends, she likes to relax her style a little bit, especially when she does outdoor activities. Her style, and especially the way she presents herself, shows that regardless of the absence of frills and heels on the weekends, she dresses for herself and is confident in that. While getting a reputation for being carefully planned and structured, sometimes even Italian style prefers these moments of off-duty comfort.
