WHAT TO WEAR: Oatmeal and Leather, Never Been Better

Fall is in full swing here at Ohio University, and with fall comes fashion. This is honestly my favorite time because no one is sweaty, long sleeves are a thing and the colors complement literally everyone. This Fashionista takes two of my favorites, oatmeal and black, and combines them into a style ready for the runway.

Her boots are the grounding force for this outfit. They are perfectly worn in to make them comfortable, but still ultra chic. The height is perfect for her legs: long enough to keep her warm but don’t go up high enough to shorten her legs.

This Fashionista slays this dress. I can’t get over it honestly. It’s so cute. The texture adds a pattern without it being gaudy. The color is stunning. It offsets her tan, complimenting it perfectly. The shade of oatmeal is absolutely perfect, working with her hair also. The turtleneck underneath will keep her warm, while adding the perfect touch of whimsy.

The leather jacket is the perfect cake topper. With its supple texture, it is not too harsh for the transitioning season but still brings the perfect edge to her look. The length of the sleeves is perfect, so her hands are free and uncovered, but goes just to her wrists to keep her warm. It hits her hips at the perfect part to accentuate her curves without being too overbearing.

She keeps her jewelry understated, but perfect for this outfit. Her rings are simple bands with embellishments. Her favorite part of her jewelry is the bracelet, a perfect band that highlights her delicate wrists.

As fall hits us in full swing, many people revert to just wearing giant sweatshirts and leggings. This Fashinista goes above and beyond with her outfit, taking runway looks and getting them to hit the books.
