WHAT TO WEAR: Midterms

March 7th, 2016 at 2:00am

Midterm week, the dreaded time of the semester when professors cram as many tests and papers into a one or two-week span before you go off for your Spring Break. Often, what comes along with midterms is spending countless hours in the library, meeting with professors and attending classes. Everyone wants to maintain a level of comfort when they have to spend all day in classes and in the library, so an outfit that can accommodate that is crucial. Most may think that in order to be comfortable you need to be in a T-shirt and sweatpants, but other clothes can be just as comfortable. While you may be sleep deprived and a little cranky, you shouldn’t sacrifice your style and this Fashionista certainly did not.

This Fashionista is in a stylish, yet comfortable outfit composed of jeggings, a lightweight sweater and a bralette with distressed brown riding boots. The lightweight sweater is simple cream color with gold thread and a sheer fabric underneath. It’s comfortable, but can easily be layered with a jacket if it is cold outside or in the library. A bralette is the perfect addition when going for comfort and stylish because it adds a little something to any outfit and is incredibly comfortable. Dark wash jeggings are a staple in many Fashionistas’ wardrobes because they feel like leggings but are less casual than leggings. A great pair of flat riding boots adds personal style and are easy to walk around in from class to class.

One Simple Change: If you want to take this look to dinner with your friends after classes then you could swap the riding boots for ankle booties with a chunky heel, which add height and make the outfit a little less casual. You can also add a funky jacket, like a suede jacket, with zipper details to elevate this look even more.
