The midpoint of the semester is already amongst us—I don’t know about you, but I cannot believe how quickly time flew by. Personally, I believe that this part of the semester, midterms week, is one of the craziest weeks for everyone: the library is filled to max capacity, your friends are all over the place and the thought of vacation is so close yet so far away. However, regardless of our state of mind we cannot lose our cool or better yet, lose our fashion sense. Like this Fashionisto, looking put together and professional can encourage us to power through midterms week smoothly. Dressing in a certain way, as he proves, can most definitely reflect our attitude and state of mind.
While the temperature remains in single digits on the East Coast, the proper coat is essential. This Fashionisto went with a grey denim peacoat, which added the perfect color tone for the anticipated transition from winter to spring. For bottoms, he wore a pair of simple khakis, similar to the sun-faded chino pants from J.Crew. In addition, this Fashionisto wore a pair of slip-on sneakers which tied together nicely with the tones of his coat as well as his sweater vaguely showing from underneath. Finally, his knitted hat that matched his pants as well as his Versace glasses pulled together his studious and laid back look. In all, this look is perfect for midterms week. Looking put together and professional can definitely help you to feel that way, too!
One Simple Change: Switch out the slip-on sneakers for a pair of black combat boots. The look will remain very similar to before, yet with an extra flare that will not only help to keep you even warmer, but also will make running around campus easier on your feet.
