Picture this: one breezy, early February day in Savannah. SCAD students are running around town with projects, papers and coffee in hand. These students may not have slept more than an hour in the past 48 hours. They have places to go, people to see and many of things to do before the week is over. It’s midterms. Besides finals, I find these days to be some of the most stressful as a SCAD student.
During these past few days, I’ve found myself sacrificing fashion for function. While my dresses and skirts may be a quick and stylish alternative to a sweatshirt and leggings, I just can’t bring myself to put in the effort. Luckily there are always those Fashionistas and Fashionistos who bridge the style gap between the comfort of sweats and all of the trendy clothes we’ve been neglecting.
This Fashionista proves that sweatshirts can be comfy and cute. Her bright coral hoodie adds a great pop of color to her outfit and shows off her fun personality. Victoria’s Secret has a great selection of fashionable hoodies and crewneck sweatshirts for days such as these. Instead of donning a baseball cap and sneakers or UGGs, this Fashionista chose a cute straw fedora and Sperry Top-Siders. Since it’s still technically wintertime, layering with a leather jacket like this Fashionista adds a bit of edge and protects you from the cool winds that threaten to blow away all your hard work.
One Simple Change: This look can easily be changed for warmer days by switching out jeans and a jacket for a simple pair of shorts.
