This week’s WHAT TO WEAR Fashionista loves New York City. Having two older sisters living in one of the four fashion capitals of the world definitely has an impact on her outfit choices. One day this Fashionista hopes to join her sisters and strut the streets of New York City, but for now she is studying her life away and visiting with her professors at Misericordia.
In this outfit, this Fashionista wears a fitted royal blue blazer on top of a simple black cami. Blazers should be part of every college girl’s wardrobe. They are so versatile and chic! When this Fashionista meets up with her professor, she combines her fitted blazer with a pair of jeans and black boots. Like blazers, black boots are essential to every Fashionista’s wardrobe especially for girls going to northeastern Pennsylvania universities where the winter season lasts for months!
Check out H&M, Forever 21 or Mandees stores to try on affordable and stylish blazers. If you want a higher end blazer, check out this Fashionista’s favorite online stores, ASOS and ModCloth. I absolutely love ASOS and ModCloth, but usually the pieces are way out of my college girl budget. Make sure to look out for their sales because their clothes are definitely worth it.
One Simple Change: As I said earlier blazers are very versatile. You can wear them to a meeting with a professor, interviews or even high tea in London with your dream British boy during your study abroad semester. For cold weather days, combine a blazer with a chunky sweater and belt. When spring break comes around we can look forward to coupling blazers with floral dresses. Until next time, happy styling!
