You get to meet a lot of great people during your university or college experience. Not only do you spend a lot of time surrounded by your peers, but you also get to know a lot of your professors. It’s nice to have people who are encouraging and are willing to invest time into helping you along the way. I always tell incoming freshman to make the most of all of the resources your school has to offer, including the teaching staff.
Classes can sometimes be pretty tough, and professors are there to answer your questions. Whether you’re dropping in to meet with them during their office hours or you have an appointment, it can sometimes be a challenge deciding what to wear. Although you’re outside of classroom time, it’s still important to look professional and put together. I spotted this Fashionisto who rocked a simple and classic ensemble that would be great for a meeting on campus.
This Fashionisto stuck to neutrals with a white button-down shirt under a black crewneck sweater and a pair of black pants. His gray cargo jacket is a wardrobe staple and is a perfect transitional piece between seasons because you can wear it in the fall and then carry it over into winter by throwing on more layers. I like how he adds a pop of color with the orange laces of his gray shoes. It adds a little more fun and personality.
I love the accessories that he chose to incorporate into the outfit. His Jack Spade messenger bag is both functional and stylish. It’s a great size for carrying a laptop and/or paperwork into the meeting, and it shows your professor that you are prepared! He finished off the look with a cool metal ring and half-wire eyeglasses.
One Simple Change: Take this look from day to night by switching the casual jacket for a more formal style and trading the gray shoes for a sharp pair of leather oxfords.
