An old saying from home says, “If you don’t like the weather, wait 15 minutes.” Generally, this saying applies to the spring time: one day it’s snowing and the next thing you know, you’re wearing shorts. This January in Savannah has proven that once you think you know Mother Nature and all the tricks she has up her sleeve, she throws you a curve ball.
Since school is officially back in session and we are all immersed in work, preparing for quizzes and working towards mid-term projects, a lot of us are finding ourselves taking advantage of professor’s office hours. While it may not be the first thing on your mind, the way you present yourself when meeting up with professors makes a big impression. Also important with the ever-changing weather, is dressing for the season in such a way that isn’t going to be too warm for those pesky 70 degree days.
This Fashionista hit the proverbial nail right on it’s head with this outfit. The little black dress comes in many shapes and sizes. I personally recommend having two in your closet: one for dressy occasions and another, such as this one, that can be dressed up or dressed down. Nothing says “serious student” louder than these oxford wedges this Fashionista wore with rolled socks. The cherry on top of this outfit are the rose-patterned tights which protect legs from the chilly wind in the mornings or late afternoons.
One Simple Change: This is a great outfit for not only meeting with teachers and drinks with friends, but for an internship or job interview. Change out your book bag for a structured purse and throw on a simple blazer and knock ‘em dead!
