WHAT TO WEAR: Meeting With A Professor

What to Wear

What a nice winter we’re having this spring, right? Now before you roll your eyes, consider this chilly spring as a challenge. Today’s Fashionista certainly did. Warmer weather will come in due time, but right now is the time to pull out your winter favorites before it’s too late. Like this Fashionista, you can bundle up while emanating warmer vibes at the same time.

I absolutely adore this Fashionista’s look because it encompasses so many trends that I love. The first is the head to toe monochromatic look. What I like is that she stuck to gray instead of black or even white. Gray isn’t as harsh as black, so it softens up the entire look. Many celebrities have rocked the gray on gray trend including the Kardashian sisters.

The next trend she’s effortlessly pulling off is the distressed denim trend. This is probably one of the safest trends on the scene right now because it’s been around for so long. The snugger fit and the cuffed hem add a hint of sophistication to the look. Distressed rips are good, but you want to make them look intentional. An ill-fitting pair can instantly take you from chic to bum.

Lastly, my favorite trend of all is the bright scarf. A bright scarf can instantly jazz up any outfit. The detailed print on the scarf adds a cool bohemian vibe, which is always a plus. The best thing about scarves is that you can wear them in any season and not look out of place.

One Simple Change: If you want to take this look from day to night, just swap the ankle boots for a pair of minimalistic heels. Rihanna would do it.
