WHAT TO WEAR: Meeting With A Professor

What to Wear

As a senior working on my thesis, president of a club and a dedicated student, I’ve been in contact with my professors constantly. Setting up meetings with them to talk about my work, future jobs and letters of recommendation is on my planner every week. Building a relationship with your professors is very important; it is something that will help in the future. You never know if they might recommend you for an awesome job after college.

It is always important to build a good image and represent yourself in a professional manner when talking to professors. You always have to dress for success! Wearing the right outfit can be a great confidence booster! Even more if you’re trying to ask for a letter of recommendation. It is proven that it’ll make you more confident and it will surely create a good impression on your professors. They will take you more seriously and see that you actually care about your future.

As a student, I am aware that sometimes there are long days spent at school. Long days where you don’t want to dress up and when you only want to be comfortable. Whenever I see someone that is dressing to impress in an adequate and professional way, I get really excited. They don’t go unnoticed, and they stand out in the crowd. That is what this Fashionista did when she stepped out of the school tram. She stood out, not only because she was looking fabulous, but because she looked so flawless. I was waiting for her to quote Queen Bee telling me “I Woke Up Like This, Flawless.” Yes. I am currently obsessed with Beyoncé’s new album.

If you want to recreate this Fashionista’s style I found an amazing pair of high-waisted trousers from Forever 21 that you can find here. A beautiful faux-leather satchel from Sole Society, and a Lone Rider wool hat from NASTY GAL can be found here.

One Simple Change: If you want to transition this outfit for an interview, I recommend you getting these heeled brogue shoe from ASOS. You will surely make a great first impression!
