There were a few things that drew me in about this outfit.
Over the past couple of years, I have adored ripped jeans—especially pairing them with more cutesy clothing items—and I immediately noticed that this Fashionista was really working the ripped jeans look. These ripped jeans are from a store popular in Westport, Connecticut called Oddz.
The off-the-shoulder look is something I have never really taken a stab at, so it intrigues me. This Fashionista had a way of making the off-the-shoulder style look not only stylish, but also sophisticated.
The shirt itself is very intricate with its altering patterns and textures. I specifically love the little bows by the tip of the sleeves. This detail is subtle but darling. The shirt is from Free People—one of my favorite brands (no wonder I was immediately drawn to this outfit).
The choice of earrings seems intentional. It adds the mixture of playful and classy—a noticeable theme in the whole outfit. The earrings were purchased in Hawaii, which adds a fun back story to the outfit.
When I asked this Fashionista if I could take a picture of her outfit, she was relaxing on a picnic blanket on the grass in Tappan Square, headphones in, completely at peace. I love her sandals—which she wasn’t even wearing when I first stopped her—as they add to the comfortable/relaxed vibe that the outfit as a whole gives off. The sandals are also from Westport’s Oddz.
The way each clothing item and accessory interacted with one another made for a relaxing, yet sophisticated look that this Fashionista totally rocked. It’s a perfect outfit for lounging around and doing homework or going out on a casual coffee date.
