WHAT TO WEAR: Library

Snow is melting, the grass is greening and it is finally appropriate (and not lethal) to show some skin in Montreal. Unfortunately, the end of the school year is just around the corner and the impending exams ominously loom over our heads. As all the libraries on campus become the second homes of everyone, the rising temperature outside seems more of a flirting temptation than something we can actually enjoy. It is easy to forget that getting up and getting dressed in the morning could be fun when all we are doing is trying to shove an entire semester worth of material into our brains. Comfiness definitely takes priority.

This Fashionista demonstrates for us that fashion does not need to be sacrificed for comfort. She sported a casual, cartoon sweater that is slightly oversized. It was layered on top of her skirt. The skirt was a soft knit that made the perfect bottoms for sitting in a chair all day. The short length of the skirt made the entire look much more put-together. What I especially loved about her outfit was her “granny socks” scrunched down over her Nike sneakers. I think we have all noticed that the sneaker-plus-skirt trend has been sweeping through runways and magazines with unstoppable force. This Fashionista incorporated the trend into this super wearable outfit. Her black statement ring was complemented with two daintier gold ones, for a sweet but edgy touch of detail. Last but not least, we all know that earphones are a must at the library.

One Simple Change: Swap the knit skirt out for a pair of grunged up, light wash boyfriend jeans for a colder weather look.
