WHAT TO WEAR: Library

April 29th, 2015 at 2:10am

For most people, going to the library is something that we dread because that means we have homework and studying to do. A sea of sweatpants is usually flooding in and out of those doors. I think you can still be comfortable but look totally cute even when you are studying for finals. I find that when I dress up my mood is better and I feel great, so that can help you get through the funk at the end of the semester.

This Fashionista dressed up for her study session, but she still looked casual. Her high-necked dress with gray pinstripes was perfectly flowy and light. She wore gray canvas shoes to continue that comfortable feel and to match her dress exactly. Her jewelry was also kept to a minimum with just a few bracelets. I love how she brought a pop of color into her outfit with her bag. This alternative to a backpack is super cute and the saying on it is perfection. It’s easy to just toss in the books that you need for studying and be on your way.

Now you see how simple it is to dress up for the library and still have a level of comfort when you are cramming for your exams. The key to being comfortable in a dress is to make sure that it is not too tight and that it has some length to it. If both of those points are covered than you don’t have to be constantly worried about your outfit and can focus on your homework. Overall, from head to toe, this Fashionista is ready to take on her workload in style and comfort.

One Simple Change: To bring this look from day to night, I would add a nice jacket or cardigan and some wedges. If you don’t want to have a heel, try some gladiator sandals which will still give your outfit a dressed-up feel without the aching feet.
