WHAT TO WEAR: Library

Although the end of the semester is on the horizon, school isn’t quite over yet. As much as we all wish we could sit outside in the sun and avoid our homework altogether, there’s still plenty of work to be done. Unfortunately, that means that long nights in the library are not yet a thing of the past and with finals approaching, library time is critical. However, dressing for the library doesn’t have to be a drag, even if the homework is. Instead of reaching for leggings and a baggy sweatshirt the next time you’re headed to the library, dress for success and study in style.

This Fashionista’s look is perfect for the library. She starts by keeps things super simple with an all-black base. A T-shirt dress paired with opaque tights is a fun, feminine alternative to black skinnies that is still just as comfortable. A draped jacket with leather detailing on the sleeves is a great way to stay warm on the walk home after the sun has gone down and the temperatures have dropped or if the library is chilly. This Fashionista’s patterned booties break up the otherwise all-black outfit and keep her looking cool and casual. An oversized leather tote bag can easily hold everything you’ll need to study– your books, laptop and snacks.

One Simple Change: After hitting the books, you deserve a little time off. This look has great transitional value if you’re planning a night out after a few hours at the library. Lose the tights, throw on a pair of heeled sandals and trade the tote for a cross-body bag for a look that transitions easily from day to night.
