WHAT TO WEAR: Library

Throwing together an outfit for the library can be tricky. You know you’ll wind up running into a ton of your friends, but you don’t want to look like you’re trying too hard. Plus, if you’re going to be holed up in the library for hours upon end, comfort is key. This Fashionista shows us that you can put a simple, chic and comfortable outfit together for the library instead of going for the dreaded sweatshirt and sweatpants combo.

Leggings are a must for the library. This Fashionista opted for gray, knit leggings for a fun and cozy alternative to basic black leggings. Next, to stay warm, she layered a thick gray zip-up hoodie with a navy raincoat. Wearing layers to the library is essential when it’s midterm season and you don’t have time to walk back to your apartment or dorm and grab an extra jacket. Since this Fashionista chose a thick zip-up, she didn’t need a big, puffy jacket and could opt for a cuter, chicer one. The gold zippers on the jacket provide a little elegance and dress up the leggings.

To add some glitz to her outfit, she stacked some bracelets and bangles, all in silver, but with different details. Each bracelet has a unique design to it without being flashy. Silver is the best choice when wearing jewelry to the library because gold can look a little too fancy. Touches of gold with silver as the base color really make the bracelets pop.

Lastly, this Fashionista threw on a pair of Hunter Boots and matching Hunter socks. The socks pair well with the simple details in the rest of her outfit.

It’s not as hard as you think to put together an effortless, comfy and practical outfit for the library without looking like a slob. Just focus on layers and a few simple accessories. Going to the library can be such a chore. A cute outfit you want to show off is the perfect motivator!
