WHAT TO WEAR: Library

Time to hit the books? Yes, I know the feeling. We’ve reached that point of the semester where the workload is no longer light, and midterms are just around the corner. If you’re like me, the library is your home away from home. You eat there, and you sleep there. I can recall many nights where I would change into pajamas at midnight and grab a snack before taking a power nap. Oftentimes, I would shut off the lights even though I knew we were not supposed to. It was like a game of tag. I would shut off the lights, and the building monitors would flip them back on a half hour later. Once they were gone, I would shut them off again.

Today, I was going to the library once again for another all-nighter when I encountered this Fashionista with the same idea in mind. She came armed with a heavy backpack filled with clothes and a water bottle to sustain her through the night. I’ve always admired those who know how to economize because constantly blowing a dollar and 50 cents on DASANI for something that freely flows from the tap is just not that bright. Plus, this Fashionista was smart in wearing a long zippered coat that can easily be thrown over a chair to create a plush seat or curled into a ball to create a pillow. Lastly, this Fashionista wore a pair of snug and sturdy Sorel boots that are perfect for keeping her toes warm in and out of the library.

One Simple Change: Why have your toes warm, but your fingers frozen? Throw on a pair of mittens or gloves, and show your hands some love in the cold weather.
