WHAT TO WEAR: Library

It’s that time of the year again: midterms. That mean’s you’ll probably be spending a lot of time in the library studying, or if you’re like me: on Buzzfeed. For those long nights in Gelman, it’s important to keep it comfy. No one has the energy to put together a super trendy outfit for a night of studying. At the same time, you don’t want to look like a total slob. Take a cue from this Fashionista and wear a cozy cardigan with leggings and boots. It’s a foolproof method: stick to the basics.

This Fashionista wears a neutral open cardigan with a black T-shirt and leggings. A loose sweater is about as close to your favorite worn-in sweatshirt you can get while still looking fashionable. The all-black (aside from the cardigan) look chic and simple. The layers are perfect for the ever-changing temperature of the library. Is it just me or is it always either freezing cold or burning hot?

The rest is all about the accessories. A couple of delicate, layered necklaces make the look just a bit more put together and personal. Invest in a few special pieces that you can wear everyday. This Fashionista wears brown combat boots, which are perfect for this snowy, slippery mix. They have a worn-in, vintage feel that looks great with the casual outfit.

One Simple Change: For those even colder days, add an infinity scarf for an extra layer of warmth. It’ll be just enough to keep you cozy in the windy weather.
