WHAT TO WEAR: Library

It is getting to everyone’s least favorite time of the semester—midterms. Soon, you will see everyone on campus trying to find the last available study spot at your university’s library. With so many of your peers in one place, there can be pressure to look presentable and not roll into the library wearing last night’s sweatpants.

I saw this Fashionista on her way to Pitt’s library to catch a few daytime hours of studying. I was instantly struck by her outfit and the stylish, yet effortless, vibe it portrayed. When sitting in the uncomfortable library chairs for hours on end, you want to be comfortable in your outfit. This look screamed comfort, and I bet this Fashionista would have no problem taking a few study break laps around the library to show off her look.

The straight leg jean leads to a classic pair of white Converse All-Stars. These shoes are so versatile; they come in multiple colors and can be matched with any outfit to make you feel like the ultimate all-star. Anytime I wear a long oversized sweater, I automatically feel comfortable. This Fashionista will be spending hours studying, so of course one of her go-to articles of clothing was her long sleeve oversized gray sweater. By adding the solid black T-shirt underneath, the simple look is achieved and does not create a distracting outfit. In order to add a pop of color to her outfit, this Fashionista chose a beautiful turquoise stone necklace. The stunning color of blue highlights this Fashionista’s hair, makes her eyes pop and adds a little something extra to her minimally chic outfit.

The next time you go to the library, don’t reach for those yoga pants and a crewneck sweater. Instead, put on a simple, yet comfortable, outfit that will make you feel great while you study.

One Simple Change: The studying is over and you are ready for the weekend! Try switching the jeans for a skinny leg black pant to give your outfit a dressier look.
