What to Wear

It is finally the end of the semester and everyone is going crazy with stress. There’s a lot of work to be done and students on campus are walking around with sad, depressed faces. The World Cup is almost here and there’s pressure and a sense of urgency everywhere. In the middle of this chaos, I found this Fashionista who agreed to let me take her photo for my first post on CollegeFashionista. When I encountered her she was in a rush to get to a group study session in the library.

As you can see, she is wearing a simple outfit. She put together skinny jeans, a basic white T-shirt, a warm and comfortable coat. She added a fashionable scarf as an accessory. There are many fun prints for scarves right now. The one this Fashionista chose is stripped. Her flats match her outfit very nicely. Since she is going to study,  it is important to make sure her outfit is comfortable and cozy.

It’s fall in Rio and the weather is getting cooler. The chill in the air explains the layered look that the Fashionista is wearing. We don’t have a severe cold here, so when it’s a little bit colder you can see a lot of people going out in the streets wearing scarves and boots. It sounds kind of funny to people that are used to have negative degrees in their countries. I  prefer cold weather clothes to warm weather clothes. I think they are more elegant and give Fashionista’s more options.

One Simple Change: If you get a call from your friend asking you to have a brunch with her, just change the flats to a blue scarpin; and the coat to a black blazer. You will look amazing and be ready to take a study break!
