What to Wear

With finals just around the corner, students are beginning to make the library their new home. While some students like to be comfortable in sweat pants and sweatshirts when they study, I personally focus better when I’m dressed well. Call me crazy for picking out an outfit just to be sitting in the library all day.

This Fashionista is ready for a day of studying in a pair of jeans, striped shirt, jacket, scarf and, of course, a cup of coffee. Finding a pair of jeans that fit you well and are comfortable can be a complete life changer. American Eagle’s jeggings are usually a good fit because they’re a little more stretchy than normal denim.

The striped shirt adds some detail to the outfit and breaks up all the other solid color pieces. Here’s a similar navy blue and white striped shirt from J.Crew. She layers the shirt under an army green parka and tops off the outfit with an orange scarf.  While the scarf is still in the neutral family, it really pops against the other colors. The scarf is also great just in case it’s cold in the library; otherwise, you can always take it off.

So take some advice from this Fashionista when you’re thinking about what to wear to the library. However, if I had to suggest one thing from this outfit for a long night of studying, it would definitely be the cup of coffee.

One Simple Change: If the weather is still cold by you, think about adding a beanie for the walk to the library. It’ll add some extra warmth and go perfectly with this outfit.
