WHAT TO WEAR: Library

What to Wear

It’s midterm season at Cal Poly and we’re all cramming and scramming. Cramming material we’ve never learned and scramming out of the library as fast as we can. No matter what floor you sit on, you literally see everyone at the library. So, why not look cute when you go for a study session at the library? But let’s be honest, the only book you will likely open is Facebook.

On the walk to my least favorite building, the library, I ran into this Fashionista who rocked a perfect and simple library outfit. I would describe her style as effortless chic. She wore the classic sweater and boots look that never fails to look good. While this ensemble does risk looking dull and repetitive, this Fashionista made sure that when she wore it, it wouldn’t. The one part of her outfit that caught my eye was the stars on her sleeve. What I thought was a simple black and white striped sweater turned out to be a sweater designed as an American flag. The sweater can be found at Brandy Melville, a popular brand that students at Cal Poly absolutely adore. And I’m not surprised that almost all the Fashionistas I run into dress themselves up in Brandy since its adorable and has a laidback Cali-girl style.  She completed her outfit by pairing her brown boots with high socks, which is a standard fashion trend for winter attire. Remember, the campus is your runway and so are the hallways of Robert E. Kennedy Library.

One Simple Change: If you decide not to go to the library, add some bold and colorful accessories to the outfit to make a casual school outfit.
