What to Wear

The school year is almost over, can you believe it? It is officially the number one college holiday, spring break! This is the time to break out the printed bikinis, high-waisted jeans, round sunglasses and hit the beach. Spring is my second favorite season because it gets me ready for summer. I love waking up to the sun and warm weather. The best part is shedding the layers and throwing on my new pieces that I found and stored in my closet for so long. I recently went on a mini shopping spree at Urban Outfitters and found some great pieces such as my Silence + Noise African print bustier and Ecote suede sandals that I cannot wait to wear, especially with festival season starting soon. What are your favorite pieces that you are excited about wearing this season?

With the ending of New York, Milan and Paris Fashion Week, there have been a slew of new trends that were seen on the runway with florals being one. It [florals] has been seen at J.Crew, Mary Katrantzou, and BCBGMAXAZRIA just to name a few. Florals are very hot for the spring weather and will be seen on everything from tops to shoes.  I spotted this Fashionista on her way to the library to catch up on some homework. “She woke up flawless, post up flawless, ride round it flawless and her makeup was flawless,” as Queen Beyoncé would say. Her outfit showcases the right amount of springtime chic. I fell in love with floral harem pants which she paired with a simple black cardigan. This Fashionista added that extra summer flair with her metal plate sandals. She kept her makeup simple but added a bold pink lip to round off her look.

Just looking at this Fashionista’s pants, sandals and pink lipstick is getting me hyped for summer. I am so ready for what the rest of the semester entails and what summer fun will happen.

One Simple Change: To take this look from study time in the library to casual dinner with friends, swap out the sandals for a pair of crisp chic white pointed pumps. Pointed pumps are very glamorous and remind me of something Kim K would wear for a quick ice cream run with Kanye.
