Jackets are being zipped. Snow boots are being pulled out. Snow angels and snowmen are being made. This can only mean a winter wonderland at High Point. Though snow is a rare occurrence in North Carolina, Fashionistas/os came prepared. Walking around campus, it is impossible not to notice the various styles of boots, the warm jackets and of course, the hats and gloves that ensure a toasty feeling even when out in the elements.
With classes cancelled, students have some extra time on their hands. While some are using it to sled, have snowball fights and drink hot chocolate, this Fashionista tries to stay on top of her studies seeing that midterms are right around the corner.
As you take a trip to the library, keep in mind that no one expects you to look like a runway model while sitting at a desk for a few hours. When hitting the books, comfort is key. This Fashionista nails functionality perfectly, and she is ready to take on the cold. As the snow begins to fall, the most obvious choice is a comfy pair of sweatpants. This Fashionista grabbed a gray pair that has a hint of school spirit down the left leg. She then pairs it with layers on top. While layers are great for keeping you warm during the walk to the library, they are also great because they can be removed depending on the temperature at the library.
This Fashionista keeps the school spirit going as she wears her High Point Division I volleyball pullover. She then adds a purple hat that not only compliments the purple accents on her pants, but it also keeps her head warm as the snow continues to fall. This Fashionista is ready to take on the snow, the cold and the books.
One Simple Change: Swap the sweats for jeans and pair them with a cute pair of Hunter Boots and a scarf and you are ready to have a fun night with friends, even when it’s cold.
