WHAT TO WEAR: Leaf Into Fall Fashion

As September 23rd passed, a slight breeze and 70 degree weather came in. It could only mean one thing: fall had arrived.

With the fall season comes colder weather, but that does not necessarily mean you have to consistently wear long sleeve T-shirts and a pair of pants until the warmer months come back. Take a glimpse at how this Fashionista incorporated layering and warm coverage into her feminine, fall outfit.

Two elements make this look perfect for breezy, autumn days. One element is the black and white patterned stole from Love Tree. The stole provides warmth and easily layers over her grey-blue, short sleeve dress from Forever 21. Since the stole lacks buttons or zippers in the front, it can easily be taken on and off in case the temperature throughout the day varies. Fall is a little ambivalent and has a way of greeting us with chilly mornings and warmer afternoons. Moreover, the patterned stole makes this outfit more interesting because it contrasts with her solid colored dress and socks. As for the second item that provides warmth and coverage, it is this Fashionista’s pair of black over-the-knee socks. Because her dress falls at mid-thigh, she needs something a little higher than a knee-high or calf-high pair of socks to shield her legs from windy days. As a result, over-the-knee socks are the ideal length.

Other embellishments to this outfit include accessories such as her necklace with small tier details and a pair of dangling leaf earrings, which are quite fitting for this fall look. Finally, she finished her look off by slipping on a pair of American Eagle Outfitters oxfords high heels, which definitely complement her height.

One Simple Change: Want to transition this look back into the summer season? Simply take off all the warm layers! Put away the cardigan, over-the-knee socks and oxfords high heels. Instead, say hello to a pair of wedge sandals to make your way back into warmer weather.
