WHAT TO WEAR: Interviews

Spring is here and not only does that mean the end of the semester is right around the corner, but for many graduating seniors it can also mean something major: interviews. Interview season is among us and if you’re like me, you may have no clue where to even begin with what to wear. Dressing to impress is what you want to achieve and this week’s Fashionista shows us how it’s done. She manages to look professional, impressive and trendy while showing off her personal style at the same exact time. You will want to do all of the same and if you follow her lead, you will get there in no time.

What drew me right away to this Fashionista’s outfit was definitely the blazer. Just look at it; you could spot her from miles away! You can’t go wrong with a blazer for an interview: it’s the most professional of clothing essentials. What’s great about this Fashionista’s blazer is that it definitely adds character and personality to her look. Don’t hold back from adding your own personal touch to your outfit. Perhaps you’ll want to go with a tiger-striped blazer or keep it simple with a classy white blazer. Whatever is your own unique style will do. And, of course, you will want to wear a pair of dress pants for the interview. The next step is adding a final special touch, such as a statement necklace. You don’t want to add too much as small details go a long way. For shoes, the Fashionista has chosen her favorite pair of pumps. This will surely be great if you’re going for a fashion interview. Just wear your favorite pair of heels and you’ll be all set to go in no time. As we can learn from this Fashionista, it is possible to look professional as well as showcasing your personal style all in one.

One Simple Change: Internships require just as professional of outfits as interviews do, but no one wants to injure their feet everyday. Swap the pair of heels for a cute pair of flats and not only will you be comfy, but looking wonderful as well.
