Interviews can be scary sometimes. Whether it’s for an internship or a part-time job, they can often be intimidating and nerve-wracking, but the right outfit could add that extra boost of confidence that you need to get rid of those butterflies. When it comes to choosing the best interview ensemble, I always make sure to find pieces that are professional and versatile while still being comfortable. You don’t want to be stuck in an office chair in an outfit that makes you squirm—it can be super distracting!
And for any interview, you always do research into the company you potentially could be working for, so dress the part. I spotted this Fashionista on campus in a chic outfit that would be a great, put-together look for a job interview. Employers can see a sense of style, on top of all the impressive skills you have to offer on paper. Making a good first impression is key, and that’s where your outfit plays a major role. You do not want to show up in jeans and a sweatshirt.
This Fashionista stuck with neutral tones, with black and brown, and had a subtle bit of color with her navy blue bag. The structure of her bag was a perfect choice for this look and her silver jewelry with cute heart and bow detailing is a nice personal touch. I like how she kept it simple and classy in a black tank with a semi-sheer blouse over top and a brown skirt with tights. She also rocked a pair of tall black boots with studs.
Good luck in those future interviews and be sure to go for whatever makes you feel great and confident!
One Simple Change: Go for a more casual weekend look by switching the skirt for a pair of jeans and trading the boots for a cute pair of flats.
