And just like that, we have come upon the end of summer. A sad, but largely terrifying realization. For many college students, August tends to be a month of panic. As I look back on my nearly unmarked to-do list, I recognize that I have a lot of preparation to cram in the next few weeks before school comes back.
Snatching up a job for the school year can be one of the most stressful tasks to check off. From the initial application to the final interview, the anxiety of employment somehow manages to precede any confirmation of actually getting the job. Despite all of this seemingly bad news, it’s nothing that can’t be alleviated by great clothing and a boost of confidence. Fortunately, these two remedies go hand and hand.
While we all know how important it is to make a statement during the crucial job interview, the term “statement” should probably be defined. We all love a good crop top, but the librarian interviewing you would probably express a lesser amount of enthusiasm for the garment. This Fashionista demonstrated the ideal interview outfit with a simple dress and statement (we know she’s on the right track since “statement” is the adjective of choice) accessories.
Since she opted for a classic black dress and chose accessories that would accentuate the look, instead of overwhelming it. Her gold belt cinched the waist and provided a bright contrast against the black. She balanced out the look with an oversized coral colored necklace connected by gold links. She stuck with this gold theme all the way down to her sandals, which featured their own shiny embellishments. When faced with the intimidation of any interview, this Fashionista showed that a little confidence and some bold accessories can go a long way.
One Simple Change: Her outfit is also appropriate for the comparably stressful event of giving a presentation. All she has to do is add a bright blazer for a professional punch, and she can easily demand the attention of an entire lecture hall.
