WHAT TO WEAR: Internship To Classes

If you have been to the city lately, you know that the heat has been brutal; especially when it comes to deciding what you’re going to wear for the day. I spotted this Fashionista on her way to her internship.  She decided to keep the outfit simple, so it is perfect for transitioning from her internship to classes later in the day.

This outfit was comprised of many different elements that can be worn even into the fall. The first was a little black dress, which is an essential piece in any girl’s closet. You can pair an LBD with a denim jacket now in the warmer weather, or when it gets colder, you can pair it with a leather or bomber jacket. She then added her white Converse All-Stars, which are perfect walking shoes to wear in the city. Going into the fall, you can pair a dress with booties or even a pair of lace up flats. This Fashionista completed her outfit with a simple black handle bag. The bag is perfect for carrying her essentials and books to class. It is versatile, with a removable long strap, if you want to wear the bag on your shoulder. To add a little pop of color to the outfit, you can pair a colored bag or even a pair of patterned flats.

To achieve this outfit for the fall, you first need to get a plain black dress. You can choose from many different silhouettes, which is great. I personally love a shift or swing dress—that way there is some movement to the outfit. Then I choose more of a structured jacket such as a leather motto jacket. I finish the look with black booties and then a colored crossbody.
