WHAT TO WEAR: Internship

With summer break at it’s peak and most people trying to get some sun, it definitely is rare to find someone not dressed in a bikini and shorts. I ran into this Fashionista while she was on her way home from her internship. Being a student but working at the same time makes choosing an outfit tricky. Moreover, this Fashionista has to go through the daily struggle of choosing an appropriate outfit for a media company which has a casual environment.

This particular outfit is very trendy and simultaneously brings out the Fashionista’s personality, which is what appealed to me. It screams strong, mature and feminine. The off-shoulder lace silhouette of this Urban Outfitters top is the right amount of formal and casual. Though a very ’50s option, it does have character and is apt for a creative based internship. WGSN states that the off-shoulder trend remained in the spotlight for spring/summer ’16 with designers giving it a relaxed silhouette and a bohemian mood. This high-rise skinny jean from Urban Outfitters is a classic option which makes the outfit more casual. When paired with tan wedges, they lengthen the legs. This outfit has minimal accessories and the small GUESS pouch completes the outfit with enough space to hold all necessities.

One Simple Change: Want to catch up with your girls over drinks at night this summer? Exchange these tan wedges for more fun and eye-catching high heel mules for the perfect girl’s night out.
