WHAT TO WEAR: Internship

August 12th, 2015 at 2:00am

Roses are red, violets are blue, what is on your summer to-do? In between the fun-filled semesters away at school, it is easy to find yourself feeling bored and lazy in the long summer months in between. What better way to educate, advance and entertain yourself than to work as an intern? Regardless of whether you know what you want to do after college or not, an internship is a great way to keep yourself busy and learn something new—and even make some extra cash, if you’re lucky.

This Fashionista is up early, but that doesn’t stop her from achieving ultimate style excellence. Wearing pastel blue skinny pants and a loose gray sweater allows her to look simple, yet put together. But, her accessories are what really make her outfit.

She rocks a bohemian-inspired headband to ensure that her hair is out of her face, which is crucial for a busy day. She wears vintage gold earrings for a touch of elegance and pairs that with a silver bangle; mixing metals is okay, people! She wears brown leather booties and a pastel pink clutch, and she’s ready for a productive day, while looking the best in the office. Don’t forget your backpack to hold your computer, lunch and any other essentials.

One Simple Change: Meeting the girls for a girl’s night out after work? Sounds good! Swap your gray sweater for a black halter top, throw your hair into a high bun, ditch the backpack and you’ll be ready to take the town by storm!

Hello, I’m Audrey! I attend Syracuse University in upstate New York, but was born and raised in the San Francisco, California Bay Area. My first year away from home was a tough one, but I learned so much about myself and I can’t wait to be back on campus in the fall! My style consists of funky statement pieces, an array of neutral colors, a perfect combination of jewelry and always a swipe of colorful lipstick. My favorite stores include ASOS, Urban Outfitters, Top Shop and Free People, but I rely heavily on thrift stores to help finish off an incomplete outfit. You can most likely find me on a hike, in the local coffee shop, online shopping, or eating my way through the Bay Area. Style on!
