WHAT TO WEAR: Internship

Yes, ladies get out your momma’s pair of ’70s flares. As seen on the runways and on the legs of various editors and bloggers, flared jeans are back with a vengeance taking the fashion world by storm. But this actually all started back in September when this haute hippie trend ruled the runways of Tom Ford, Yves Saint Laurent and Tommy Hilfiger. Topshop featured Cara Delevingne in a pair of ‘MOTO Clean Cut Flare Jeans for their spring 2015 campaign. I must say, genius move Topshop, because Cara can make any gal want to throw on a pair of these. I mean look at her! I know it is a scary concept to start to break away from our beloved skinnies. Yes, they’re super comfortable, versatile and practical, but let’s face it—they’re ultimately boring! We need a little “flare” in our lives.

This Fashionista above wore her flares for a day at a PR internship. Finding what to pair with your flares is the thing that makes a lot of people stray away from them. But you don’t need anything over the top. A simple white T-shirt is just fine! She finishes off her look with a great pair of snakeskin platforms and a black bucket bag. Extra bonuses from wearing flared jeans? They give you a super slimming and lengthening look (even more if you add a heel). Plus, they just give you an extra little something that you simply can’t achieve with a skinny jean. So stop letting your skinnies blend in and let your flares stand out!

One Simple Change: Add a leather jacket to take this look from day to night.
