WHAT TO WEAR: Internship

Interning is a big deal because you’re out in the real world, eager to soak up as much knowledge and experience as possible. But before you can do that, you need to figure out what you’re going to wear. Many of us struggle with what we’re going to wear on a daily basis. So for this occasion, planning ahead can only help in the long run. No matter the field of your internship, what you wear goes hand in hand with making great impressions on your bosses and fellow interns.

This Fashionista is rocking a sleeveless floral blouse, a lavender skirt and sandals. Lately she’s been testing out a few outfits in preparation for her internship with Veronica Beard in New York City next month and she did a great job putting this look together.

Floral print is everywhere this summer and we can’t get enough of it. This Fashionista’s cute button-down blouse is the perfect example of how versatile floral print can be. And don’t be afraid to go with sleeveless tops with collars which are bold pieces that can be both dressed up or dressed down if done right. The soft print and fashion-forward construction of this blouse screams, “I’m here. I’m bold. And I’m ready to work!” Also, the lavender skirt ties in perfectly with the color of the top as solid-colored pieces help balance out an outfit when wearing prints or patterns.

Be professional, but also be true to your own personal style. Take advantage of any opportunity to be you while flaunting your inner CEO.

One Simple Change: Instead of a skirt, throw on your favorite pair of jeans, this now casual ensemble is great for running errands around town.
