Dressing for any function should never have to mean giving up a part of your sartorial identity. Whether it’s dressing down to tailgate or dressing up for a formal, Fashionistas and Fashionistos always carry a bit of their personal style into whatever they choose to wear. This Fashionisto made sure he brought a bit of his nonchalant, quirky personality to his internship attire.
On the bottom, this Fashionisto wore a pair of straight leg khaki pants. The straight legged silhouette and four pocket styling gave it a polished look that was versatile enough to wear to a number of functions. For a casual but polished look, he paired it with a light blue French cuff dress shirt. The slim fit, spread-collar and covered placket gave the shirt a more formal, structured feel to balance out a business-formal look.
On top of his shirt, he wore a tailored-fit, navy cotton blazer. The difference in color between the dress shirt and the blazer provided the perfect contrast between the two, and his striped light blue, navy and white jacquard tie acted as a great piece to bring the two pieces together.
To accessorize, this Fashionisto wore a classic brown leather belt. The smooth, dark leather of the belt matched the leather uppers of his leather derby dress shoes, and the two pieces tied the whole outfit together.
One Simple Change: Simply remove the blazer for a more casual look that would be appropriate for a Sunday brunch. The dapper look is perfect for any polished and cool occasion.
