Boston has been getting quite a bit of snow this season, and it definitely isn’t helping our lovely Boston University Fashionistas/os. Nothing is worse than having the perfect outfit picked out one day and then having to change the whole thing because now you have to wear snow boots. Because we go to BU, luckily we have a lot of innovative Fashionistas/os that show us that being fashionable isn’t impossible in the snow.
This Fashionista shows us how easy it is to be classy and flawless, even in the bitter cold. When it comes to winter coats, we usually default to whatever has the most layers. Although, a coat like this does the job just fine. It is not only warm, but classy and fashionable. The camel color is perfect for a pair of riding boots or when it comes to the snow a good pair of Hunter Boot or Bean boots! A neutral like this makes it easy to mix and match as the seasons change. Wear this coat with pair of brown riding boots in the fall and a pair of classic black Hunter Boot once the snow hits. This Fashionista shows us a perfect pair of rubber-soled boots for the snow. Nothing is worse than walking down Commonwealth Avenue with no traction, so remember to score a pair of these before it is too late!
I also love how this coat has some awesome gold accents. I love when a piece of clothing makes it easy to accessorize! This tells you that all you need is a few Alex + Ani bangle bracelets, a watch, and a simple necklace and you are ready to hit the road. When it is winter there are tons of more accessories that you need to add to your list, gloves, hats, scarves etcetera. A neutral color like this coat makes it easy to accessorize with multiple different options. Your coat is something that you will wear almost everyday of the season so its nice to have options to accessorize with. This Fashionista chose a bulky black scarf, which was definitely a great choice. It looks super warm and flawlessly trendy.
What I love about this Fashionista is how she is not afraid to be herself. Although she is trendy, fashionable and classy throughout her outfit I love how she sports her sorority letters. This is pop of color in her outfit which definitely stands out and shows the person that she is. The best part of being a Fashionista is creating your own fashion statements and this Fashionista does just that. She shows that being a Sigma Kappa means being classy and prepared for the winter season.
One Simple Change: If you add a pair of black ballet flats to this outfit, it would be perfect for the spring season approaching. We know how cold March can get in Boston, but nothing stops us from inching in on our spring wardrobe. Also if you add a pair of flats to this outfit it is perfect for a few after class drinks with some friends!
