The holidays are tricky. Some families go super casual while others dress to impress. The trick to any Thanksgiving or Christmas outfit is to wear an expanding waste line, or something comfortable. The comfortable clothing will prepare you for the massive stuffing you are about to consume, and the nine hours you may be at your family’s house. This Fashionista is wearing the perfect combination of festive and comfortable. She is wearing a long sleeve sheer blue top with a sparkled collar, colored orange pants and brown boots. The pop of color and sparkle makes the outfit fun and full of life, and the loose top is ready for a holiday feast.
This Christmas try new colors like this Fashionista. Instead of another bright red or black dress try a baby blue color. Not only will the color be easier to wear any time of the year you will also stand out in the crowd. Also try boots or flats opposed to heels. Heels can be limiting whereas boots allow for playing outside or chasing cousins.
This year my favorite store for holiday attire is Nordstrom and Topshop. They have fun skater skirts and dresses in a variety of color. I just bought a long sleeve white dress from Nordstrom that I am in love with and cannot wait to wear at Christmas. This holiday season try something new, but remember to be comfortable. After dinner, six hours into the meal, you will thank me for advising you against the skin tight shirt or dress.
One Simple Change: By throwing on a black scarf and peacoat this outfit is ready to embrace the cold weather over winter break.
