You have the beginnings of a pretty good holiday when you think relaxation, rest and recuperation. I find that it’s always easiest to pack for my travels if I know I want a stress-free trip–dress light. This way I can spend more of my time relaxing, rather than stressing out.
This Fashionisto definitely had the right idea, opting for an outfit that was not only cool, but that will keep him cool in the sun. This Fashionisto kept it simple with the choice of pairing a shirt with a pair of shorts, yet each piece was right on trend.
The colour scheme of his outfit made me think of quiet days spent by the beach, or warm nights along a palm tree-lined promenade. The nautical feel of this Fashionisto’s shirt and shorts is a classical summer aesthetic, yet he kept it fresh with a chambray shirt–sleeves casually rolled–as opposed to the traditional plain white shirt. I love his shirt’s buttons: subtle tortoise-shell detailing that took his shirt up a fashionable-notch. It’s an outfit that could easily go from a day spent sightseeing to a night out; it is perfect for when you’re on holiday and plans are spontaneously made.
This Fashionisto doesn’t put an unstylish foot forward either. His pair of boat shoes certainly complemented his look’s nautical aesthetic. I love how his shoes are not the typical dark brown. His boat shoes’ light tan colour matched his shorts, and the coffee brown laces worked into the same colour family as his chunky leather Tommy Hilfiger watch. Fashionistos, check out a watch that is versatile enough to wear from day to night. A watch is also a great staple piece for any Fashionisto to own.
Finish off the look with a pair of Ray-Ban Wayfarer sunglasses, like this Fashionisto, who certainly looked ready to head off on a getaway!
One Simple Change: If you want to emphasize and enhance the nautical aesthetic of this outfit, you could try a striped cotton tee with suspenders. This altered look is very old-school cool!
